When it comes to the correct selection of an evaluation and management level of service, documentation is going to be the key issue. The The Office of the Inspector General and the Recovery Audit Contractor auditors are looking closely to see what documentation is being made and if there is “cloning” going on. During this session, the presenter will discuss what is specifically needed to support a given level in the orthopaedic specialty. Orthopaedic specific examples will be provided that are specific to what is seen on a daily basis in an orthopaedic office.
