Being the boss isn’t enough. Your job in a leadership position is to ensure all of your employees are operating at full capacity. This session will cover the 5 Cornerstones for ensuring employee growth and performance. This is a new presentation created just for the AAOE 2017 Annual Conference and promises to deliver specific, immediate strategies for leaders of all levels.
Attendees will take away tools, ideas, and strategies for executive team leadership to enhance their capacity to prepare, lead, influence and inspire others for positive medical practice performance and balance during industry change. Not only will the presenters discuss the leadership challenges presented by the regulatory changes that are continually thrust upon practices, but also how those changes and challenges are addressed with a new, more hands-on, more risk-averse physician population. In addition, the session will address the imperative balance and approach that is required when dealing with baby boomer and Gen X physicians.
Self-service solutions have been used for many years by the airline, banking, and grocery store industries. To date, there has been limited use in the healthcare industry. A study completed in 2009 by the California Healthcare Foundation noted that less than 10% of healthcare entities had self-service kiosks in use. That number has grown due to strong consumer interest in providers having self-service kiosks. A number of healthcare entities have been early adopters of this new technology. These include Kaiser Permanente of Southern California, Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Scott & White of Temple, Texas with all reporting good patient adoption and experience.
Successfully blending the five generations currently in the healthcare workplace can be a tall order. Your leadership is the key! Our goal is to help support happier, more productive employees while also maintaining a company-wide focus of excellent patient care. This interactive presentation covers strategic methods of improving employee morale, improving operational efficiency, increasing employee retention, and improving employee productivity; how to find it, how to harness it, and how to keep it. Millennials get a special nod in this presentation - you’ll see why they deserve it!
Orthopaedic surgeons are the fourth most likely specialist to be sued for medical malpractice. While malpractice claims are an inevitable part of the business, providers can decrease the likelihood of being sued by having increased sensitivity to the patient selection process and understanding how physician behavior impacts the likelihood of a claim. This session will assist physicians and their administrators in identifying the patient and physician behaviors that increase claims, as well options available to mitigate these risks.
This session will highlight how the patient acquisition paradigm has changed over the past several years for orthopaedic practices. By attending the session, you will learn how to maximize Direct to Patient digital marketing strategies using initiatives such as Google Pay Per Click, SEO, Social Media Marketing, YouTube Pre-Roll Marketing, and other digital efforts - while not burning through your marketing budget. Also, a focus will be put on how to effectively track and measure the new patient ROI generated from these efforts.
